THE FORMAT
Part One : Mr Elephants Mixtape
Part One is a mixtape with a narrative, and a vast array of music on the more downtempo side, engineered to suit most tastes, and designed to take you through what life is like as an elephant in the city.
Part Two : Marc Reck Dj Mix
Part two is one of Marc’s breakbeat mixes with narrative, and full of diverse rump shaking tracks.
Part Three : Exclusive Live Recordings from Birmingham
Part Three is some exclusive recordings from my travels around the city from some of the events and artists i’ve enjoyed in my time here, often recorded live on binaurul microphones.
The radio shows are free to download at 64kps, and we encourage you to check out the artists that are featured. They can all be easily accessed on the tracklisting links, where you can buy their music, read their biogs, and hear similar music for free at Last F.M.
We hope that this radio station takes you on journey with its respective narratives, and introduces you to music and artists you may not have come across. We want it to be as accessible and enjoyable for as many people as possible, so its not just about hearing new music, but also about combining the forms of djing, mixtapes and narrative, with a lot of thought going into each one.
We feel that it presents the artists in a positive light, but if you are the rights holder to the music and don’t feel it benefits you in any way, please email me, and we will be happy to remove your music. Please listen to the mixtapes first though, as they are designed to promote music we love, in the best possible way.
